Genevieve Garcia

Founder, and Creativity Coach

Genevieve holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. She is certified in therapeutic arts and Art4Healing®. Genevieve has been a Therapeutic Creativity Coach for 7 years and has helped thousands of individuals explore their creativity and express themselves through color.

Genevieve believes that therapeutic creativity is an excellent way to communicate, express, relax, explore, and experience flow. She finds that often times creative expression is easier for individuals than traditional forms of communication. Genevieve is continually amazed at the insights, expression, and healing she witnesses when clients are encouraged to freely express themselves through color, textures, different materials, and creativity. She sees therapeutic creativity as an alternative way to help people; a tool to encourage individuals to express themselves; and a healthy activity that is often forgotten.

Genevieve has also been teaching Art4Healing® workshops for 7 years. She finds these workshops particularly beneficial for those who have fear around creating art, and/or individuals who are dealing with intense emotional pain. Although these workshops are therapeutic, individuals are not required to discuss their experience if they do not want to. Many times participants find it helpful to take their artwork into their own therapy sessions and discuss their experience with a therapist one-on-one.

Genevieve's personal love for arts and crafts coupled with her compassion and motivation to help others planted a seed which grew into a company called “Creativity 4 a Cause.” Genevieve's experience includes working with therapists, children, at-risk teens, individuals suffering from substance use, Marines, Wounded Warriors, and Rwandan genocide survivors. She has found that therapeutic creativity benefits people of all different populations, cultures, genders, and ages.
